Hastings Pisces Park

Pisces Pete, Hastings, Trent Hills, Ontario

Dit Clapper Drive, Hastings, Ontario

Hastings Pisces Park will feature a series of fish sculptures of local species swimming alongside the Trent River near the Village of Hastings Marina on Dit Clapper Drive. The Park will be a destination on our newly completed part of the Trans Canada Trail.

The first fish in the installment is Hastings Pisces Pete, a giant fish sculpture that marks the significance of fishing in Hastings. He is a pickerel, 12 feet long and crafted in stainless steel by Bill Lishman. The species was chosen as it represents the most popular for local fishermen and considered by many to be the best game fish in Ontario. His name was chosen from community submissions.
