Santa Visits Trent Hills

Warkworth Parade, Warkworth, Trent Hills, ON

Holiday Celebrations in Trent Hills 2020

Saturday, November 28 to December 27, 2020

Since Santa and his reindeer aren’t able to visit this year, he has called on the residents and businesses of Trent Hills to celebrate the holiday season with some extra-special decorating, with prizes awarded for the best displays. His elves will then create a route for you to take a self-guided driving or walking tour in this reverse parade (meaning you do the driving or walking of the route.) It all begins with Campbellford on the usual Parade day, Saturday, November 28 at 1 p.m. and continues right up until Christmas. (Reverse Parade Routes for Warkworth will begin on Friday, December 4 and Hastings will begin on Saturday, December 5.) Reverse Parade Routes  for Campbellford, Warkworth and Hastings can be travelled up until Christmas .

HOLIDAY SCAVENGER HUNT – Santa’s elves have created a Holiday Story but they forgot to include some of the words and need your help.  Follow the Campbellford Parade Route to find the clues.  Answer at least 10 correctly and you will be entered into a random draw for one of 10 $50 gift certificates from a business of your choosing.  Plus, if one of the participants on the entry is in JK to Gr. 6, you will receive a bonus entry into a random draw for a 10 lb. chocolate bar courtesy of Blommer Chocolate. TREE OF LIGHT / Westben’s Christmas Digital Concert at The Barn
Premiering on Saturday, December 12 at 7 pm

Based on a short story by Christopher Cameron which appeared in last year’s Christmas issue of Watershed, Tree of Light is about an old Northumberland father who decorates the tree in his front yard, yet again, in the hope that it will once again guide his children back home for Christmas. Of course, he knows full well that this will not be the case this Christmas, but he feels the urge to continue this important tradition with unflagging hope in the future… RSVP via Facebook by Clicking Here
